On April 7 and 8, 2026, a guest lecture was held by Marat Akhmetullayevich Opabekov, senior lecturer of the department of Prosecutorial supervision at the Academy of law enforcement agencies under the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The lecture, titled "Specifics of pre-trial investigation," was conducted for 3rd-year students of the educational programs 6B04201-"Jurisprudence" and 6B04204-"Judicial, Prosecutorial, and Investigative-Criminalistic Activities" at the faculty of law of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian national university.
During his presentation, the lecturer addressed issues regarding jurisdiction, the venue and forms of pre-trial investigation, as well as the timelines and circumstances subject to proof. At the conclusion of the session, students asked various questions and received exhaustive answers.
Such events contribute to developing students' understanding of the significance of constitutional human and civil rights and freedoms in pre-trial proceedings. Furthermore, they foster an awareness of the necessity for strict compliance with the rule of law and order in criminal justice.
