Roza Dzharasovna Akshalova, Kazakh, was born on November 25, 1988 in the city of Zhezkazgan. Doctor of Philosophy PhD (2022).
In 2009 she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Law with a degree in International Law.
From 2009 to 2011 she studied at the master's program at L.N. Gumilyov ENU in specialty 6N0302 “International Law” within the framework of the “double degree” program of ENU and RUDN University for joint training of masters of international law. Received two diplomas from ENU and RUDN with honors.
From 2016 to 2020 she studied doctoral studies at L.N. Gumilyov ENU, specialty “6D030200 – International Law”.
Since 2011 I have been working at the university: teacher, senior lecturer, acting head of the department of international law of L.N. ENU. Gumilyov.
Membership in professional commissions and associations:
Member of the World Commission on Environmental Law of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN WCEL) since 2019.
Since 2021, Member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Climate Change Specialist Group, 2021-2025, Member of the IUCN WCEL Network on Climate Change Law, 2021-2025.
Since 2023, member of the Community of Practice of the Regional Environmental Center of Central Asia.
Deputy editor-in-chief of the journal “Bulletin of ENU. Law Series. Member of the editorial board of the HSE Journal on International Law (Russian Federation, Moscow).
Scientific activity of Akshalova R.D. conducted in the field of theory of international law, international environmental law, sustainable development, international security law.
Since 2023, she has been a Member of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU Scientific Council, member of the Commission for Ethical Evaluation of Doctoral Research of L.N. Gumilyov ENU.
